• Communications: Any messages you send to support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the D4 Chess Club™ platform
• To personalize AI coaching and puzzle recommendations based on your play patterns
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, purchase receipts)
• To detect and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Stripe — Payment processing
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Groq — AI coaching (game move data sent for analysis)
• Fly.io — Backend hosting
• Supabase / Vercel — Database and frontend hosting
• Roboflow — Board position scanning (image data processed)

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

D4 Chess Club™ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including bcrypt password hashing, HTTPS encryption, JWT authentication, and rate limiting. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of D4 Chess Club™ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
